The Town of the City of Dawson, commonly known as Dawson City or Dawson, is a town in Yukon, Canada. It is inseparably linked to the Klondike Gold Rush. The population was 1,319 at the 2011 census. Wikipedia

Dawson City is a town on the Yukon River in the Yukon, in northwest Canada. A base during the 19th-century Klondike Gold Rush, the town has several preserved frontier-style buildings. Many of these are found in the Dawson Historical Complex. The Dawson City Museum outlines the history of the Gold Rush, as well as the area’s geology and original settlers, through interactive exhibits and gold-pouring demonstrations.

The Yukon, a territory in northwest Canada, is wild, mountainous and sparsely populated.
