## Tune into the Energy: Exploring the World of NRJ

NRJ. The name itself vibrates with energy, and for good reason. Short for "Nouvelle Radio Jeune," and pronounced "énergie," this French radio station has been electrifying the airwaves since June 1981. More than just a station, NRJ represents a cultural touchstone, a legacy built on a foundation of hit music and an unwavering commitment to staying ahead of the curve.

Founded by Jean-Paul Baudecroux and Max Guazzini, NRJ's early days weren't without their challenges. It was the legendary singer Dalida, acting as the station's godmother, who stepped in and crucially prevented its closure in 1984. This intervention cemented NRJ's destiny, paving the way for its meteoric rise to become a household name, not just in France, but internationally.
