## Feel the Energy: Diving into the World of NRJ
NRJ. The name itself vibrates with energy, and for good reason. Short for "Nouvelle Radio Jeune" (New Young Radio), or pronounced as the French word for "energy," this iconic station has been electrifying French airwaves since June 1981.
Founded by Jean-Paul Baudecroux and Max Guazzini, NRJ's journey wasn't always smooth sailing. It faced a near closure in 1984, but legendary singer Dalida, the station's godmother, stepped in and ensured its survival. This pivotal moment cemented NRJ's place in French radio history.
