Translated from French-Founded by a band of fans of the antenna in Chambéry in the 80s, Ellebore is an associative and independent radio station whose musical programming remains, year after year, eclectic and sensitive. Launched in September 1980, Ellebore was born from the merger of Pénélope and Polenta, two local radio stations. When Mitterrand came to power, she swapped her pirate flag for an FM band that was finally legal. It is the first free radio in the department and one of the very first in France.

Chambéry is an Alpine town in southeast France. In the old town is the medieval Castle of the Dukes of Savoy, with historical exhibits. Near Chambéry Cathedral, the 1838 Elephant Fountain honors the 18th-century general Benoît de Boigne. The Musée des Beaux-Arts exhibits include 14th- to 18th-century Italian works. South, the Museum of Charmettes was once home to philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau.

France, in Western Europe, encompasses medieval cities, alpine villages and Mediterranean beaches. Paris, its capital, is famed for its fashion houses, classical art museums including the Louvre and monuments like the Eiffel Tower. The country is also renowned for its wines and sophisticated cuisine. Lascaux?s ancient cave drawings, Lyon?s Roman theater and the vast Palace of Versailles attest to its rich history.
